When communication and radar equipment are working, microwave antenna must be tall to ensure the receiving signal intensity. Classifications Of Telescoping Mechanical Antenna Mast

 

According to the operation mode, it is divided into electric lifting mast and manual lifting mast. In general, electric lifting mast is often used. However, in the wild environment without a generator, only manual mast lifting can be used.

 

According to tube material, it can be divided into aluminum alloy tube mast, steel tube mast and carbon fiber tube mast. The three materials differ in density, elastic modulus and shear modulus. The order of density is carbon fiber, aluminum alloy and steel. The order of strength and stiffness from superior to inferior is steel, aluminum alloy, and carbon fiber, which means that the weight of the mast is often contradictory to the requirements of strength or stiffness. Radar, communication equipment to choose the material of the mast mainly depends on the use of the requirements of which direction.

 

According to the function, it is divided into ordinary mast and functional mast with display height. Mast with high power displays mast height in real time during mast ascent and descent so that the antenna can be stopped accurately at any height within the mast stroke range.

 

Precautions For Installing Retractable Antenna Mast

 

According to the different use of the antenna, the installation form of mechanical antenna lifting mast can be divided into vehicle-mounted installation and ground installation.

 

Precautions During Installation

 

  • The base of the mast and the outer leather pipe are fixed with the bottom plate and the side wall respectively, and the bottom plate and the side wall should have enough strength;
  • The mast body should be vertical with the horizontal plane, and the clamping force of the fixed clamp should be appropriate to prevent the deformation of the outer leather pipe;
  • The mast should be mounted on the same object to prevent twisting and bending the rod body in motion.

 

Matters Needing Attention During Erection And Withdrawal Of Mast

 

  • When erecting, the pile is evenly distributed around the center of the mast, and the Angle between the rope and the ground is less than 60 degrees;
  • The ground pile should be tilted and nailed into the ground, and the Angle between the ground and about 75 degrees;
  • Manual operation, the power source must be disconnected, electric operation, manual handle must be removed;
  • When the wind speed is greater than 14m/s, the pull rope should be manually tracked during the lifting process, and the pull rope should be tightened after erection.
  • When the mast is working, do not stay under the antenna coverage, and should be at least 2 meters away from this area, in order to prevent operator error or accident of the mast falling injury;
  • When used in low temperature in winter, before electric operation, use manual crank to shake several times and then electric lifting (to prevent overload of electric machine);
  • Do not move the vehicle during the lifting rod lifting process to avoid damage to the mast.
